A day out in York, new blouse and more!

Matt had the Easter weekend off from work – which is a rarity! So we made the most of it and went out for the day to York on Friday.

It was lovely weather, the sun was out – but it was very cold! York was very busy as the Yorkshire Food Market was on, we tasted some lovely food and got some amazing Yorkshire Gluten Free Sausages, which I’m looking forward to cooking.

We had a nice leisurely walk round. I have kept saying I would like a new camera (the ones we have for Matt’s photography business are a bit too bulky and very expensive! – for me to carry round all the time) I said I would save up or put it on my 30th Birthday list  - but hubby surprised me taking me into a camera shop and we picked a camera together and he bought it for me!

I’ve wanted a camera I can take out with me to take pics for the blog and also when I go to events. A few of you have also asked me to do video tutorials, so we picked one that was perfect for everything I wanted Image may be NSFW.

:)

I’ve ordered a tripod online as I have shaky hands – so a tripod is a must for me!

Anyway, Matt took his camera to York as I wanted a few pics, so I could do a blog about my new blouse from Heyday  and the outfit I was wearing. I drive Matt up the wall as I’m always critical of myself in pictures – it doesn’t matter who takes the pictures – I’m critical of myself more often than not!  We went to York Minster to take the pics – they are currently doing some rennovations to make it pedestrian friendly – so without further ado, here are some of the pics!

Here I am infront of The Minster, lots of people kept coming past after this pic – so we moved!

Here’s where we moved to – just across from The Minster, its part of it, I thought it was a quirky doorway.

I was laughing in this pic as Matt was trying to take pics and people kept walking infront of him – his camera is hard to miss! Image may be NSFW.

I love the Olivia Blouse from Heyday it fits so well and I’ve had my eye on this pattern for ages, then when Shona said they were having an Easter sale – I jumped at the chance. Heyday Clothing is made really well and the fabrics are lovely.Image may be NSFW.

We took this shot as I wanted to show my hat – my jacket is back on as it was cold!

Matt took this pic while I was at the cash machine – I didn’t realise he’d taken it – I think its a lovely shot.
